4993. Mr Murali Pillai: To ask the Minister for National Development with regard to the Prime Minister's announcement at the National Day Rally 2023 that the Government will make precincts more senior friendly, what are the details of the plans to build more senior friendly features in mature HDB estates.

5003. Mr Chiong Kee Hiong: To ask the Minister for National Development whether HDB flat owners who had already installed senior-friendly fittings under the original Enhancement for Active Seniors (EASE) programme will be allowed to access the additional benefits under EASE 2.0.

Answer:

We thank the Members for their interest in Age Well SG initiatives. Under Age Well SG, MND, MOH, and MOT will work together to make our HDB homes and precincts more senior-friendly, to support ageing-in-place. This includes upgrading precincts to include more senior-friendly features and making homes more senior-friendly by expanding the suite of fittings that seniors can opt for under EASE 2.0. Details for both initiatives will be announced when ready.
