Question No: 3090

Question by: Mr Leon Perera

To ask the Minister for National Development whether the Urban Redevelopment Authority has plans to expand the Landscaping for Urban Spaces and High-Rises (LUSH) programme to new areas or to expand the boundaries of the already identified areas.

Answer:

URA introduced the Landscaping for Urban Spaces and High-Rises (LUSH) programme in 2009, to encourage developers to incorporate skyrise greenery within the built environment through a mix of planning requirements and incentives. Since 2014, the LUSH programme has been expanded to developments islandwide. URA is currently conducting a regular review of the programme and will share more details when ready.
