Board Changes at the Urban Redevelopment Authority

Four new members will be appointed to the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) Board with effect from 1 April 2015. Chairman of the board, Mr Peter Ho Hak Ean, will be reappointed, along with eight others. Three members are stepping down from the Board.

New Board Members

The four new members are:

i. Mr Khew Sin Khoon, President & Chief Executive Officer, CPG Corporation Pte Ltd

ii. Mr Chew Men Leong, Chief Executive, Land Transport Authority

iii. Prof Brenda Yeoh Saw Ai, Dean, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, National University of Singapore

iv. Dr Cheong Wei Yang, Director, Planning, Ministry of Education 

Re-appointed Members

In addition to Mr Ho, the eight re-appointed members are:

i. Mr Mok Wei Wei, Managing Director, W Architects Pte Ltd

ii. Mr Liang Eng Hwa, Managing Director, Treasury & Markets, DBS Bank Ltd, and MP for Holland-Bukit Timah GRC

iii. Mr Tan Chee Meng, Senior Counsel, Deputy Managing Partner, WongPartnership LLP

iv. Mr Nagaraj Sivaram, Partner, Assurance, Ernst & Young LLP

v. Adjunct Assoc Prof Sim Heng Joo, Joe, Chief Executive Officer, National University Hospital

vi. Mr Goh Sin Teck, Editor, Lianhe Zaobao, Singapore Press Holdings Ltd

vii. Ms Anisa Hassan, Managing Director, IJL Professional Dating (S) Ptd Ltd

viii. Mr Ng Lang, Chief Executive Officer, Urban Redevelopment Authority

Members who are stepping down

The three board members stepping down after their terms end on 31 March 2015 are:

i. Mr Chan Sui Him, Chairman, DP Architects Pte Ltd

ii. Mr Anthony Kang Chiang Meng, Chairman, Indiglo Venture Pte Ltd

iii. Mr Lionel Yeo Hung Tong, Chief Executive, Singapore Tourism Board

With these appointment changes, the URA Board will have 13 members, including Mr Peter Ho. All appointments will be for a three-year term until 31 March 2018. The full list of URA board members and a brief write-up of the new board members are appended in the Annex.
