Question No: 5293

Question by: Miss Rachel Ong

To ask the Minister for National Development whether a limit can be set for the maximum number of days for demolition and hacking works to be carried out in landed housing areas with residential homes and buildings located less than 150 metres from the work site.

Answer:

BCA regulates building works to ensure that they are carried out safely and do not impair the structural integrity of adjacent buildings. However, BCA does not impose a limit on the duration of such works as the amount of time taken will vary depending on factors such as the scale and complexity of the works.
