Minister Desmond Lee Attending The 12th World Cities Summit (WCS) Mayors Forum In Seoul, Republic Of Korea, from 24 to 26 September 2023

Minister for National Development and Minister-in-charge of Social Services Integration, Mr Desmond Lee, will visit Seoul, Republic of Korea, from 24 to 26 September 2023, to attend the 12th World Cities Summit Mayors Forum.
2 As the Chair of WCS Mayors Forum, Minister Lee will be delivering the opening and closing addresses and participating in the Forum’s discussion, themed Liveable and Sustainable Cities: Forging an Inclusive and Resilient Future. The discussion is centred on the ensuring inclusivity as cities strive towards urban development and economic success.
3 As part of the programme, Minister Lee will join participants of the Mayors Forum in a visit to the Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism, which focuses on balancing urban development with environmental sustainability.
4 During his visit to Seoul, Minister Lee will also meet international counterparts to strengthen ties and explore opportunities for collaboration. Minister Lee will be accompanied by Ambassador of the Republic of Singapore to the Republic of Korea Eric Teo and officials from the Ministry of National Development and Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
