Minister for National Development Mr Lawrence Wong will visit Tianjin, People’s Republic of China (PRC), from 27 to 29 April 2016.

Mr Wong will co-chair the 7th Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-city Joint Working Committee Meeting with Minister Chen Zhenggao of the PRC Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development on 28 April 2016. The Joint Working Committee will discuss the progress of the Eco-city project and work plans leading up to the Eco-city’s 10th anniversary in 2018.

Separately, Mr Wong will be meeting Tianjin Mayor Huang Xingguo, who is also the Acting Party Secretary of Tianjin. Mr Wong is accompanied on this visit by Mr Sam Tan, Minister of State for Prime Minister’s Office and Manpower, and officials from the Ministry of National Development as well as other government agencies involved in the Eco-city project.
