Lifestyle, communications, entertainment, and transport apps kept our seniors busy at the biannual Silver IT Fest from 22–24 September at the Toa Payoh HDB Hub.
Some 10,000 excited seniors visited the three-day technology education carnival, which featured roadshows, seminars, and IT classes organised by the Info-communications Media Development Authority (IMDA). The festival aimed to encourage seniors to adopt a more digital lifestyle and learn about the benefits that technology can bring.
The OneService Team was also present at the event to share with our seniors how it is easier to give feedback with the OneService App. The app enables users to report municipal issues in their neighbourhoods, such as damaged footpaths, littered areas, and bird nuisances, without needing to know which Government agency to send their feedback to.
Through live demonstrations, the team guided our silver generation on how to use the app. The audience was delighted at its functionality and ease of use!
Many seniors were eager to keep the app as a fixture in their mobile phones. They found it very handy and easy to use: just spot the issue, shoot it with your phone camera, and send it to the right agency!
